24×7 water project laid down by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is giving nightmares to residents of Nagpur. NMC handed over the water works to Orange City Water Private Limited (OCWL) so that the water work can be completed on time but still the water work is being carried out at a very slow pace. The project is to replace old pipes with new ones and to lay down pipes in new localities. But the water project is leading to dug roads which remains opens for months, becoming accident prone zone.

The dug roads or the piled up mud is hardly visible at night which can lead to serious road injuries if not taken care of.
It is a common view everywhere at Nagpur to find out dug roads here and there. Even if the road is filled after completion of work the area is not properly cemented which leads to bumpy driving on road. These are bumps which a two wheeler driver is not aware of as there are no road signals carrying the sign “Bump Ahead”. Nagpur Municipal Corporation should look into the matter immediately and solve problems of dug roads so that the citizens can have a safe drive on road.
