E-waste is Electronic waste which is generated by Television, Refrigerators, Computers and other electronic equipments. They are disposed by the general public along with normal waste. But a rule has been passed to take care of disposal of E-waste from 1st May 2012. Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCP) and Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has been given the task to dispose off E- waste in a safe manner from the month of May.

Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has launched 284 tankers to meet the increasing demands of water in summer season due to water shortage or poor supply of water. The increased number of tankers is sure to reduce water problems faced by Nagpurians as more tankers will lead to more and better supply of water.

North Nagpur is experiencing water shortage while water is flowing down the drains in Shanti Nagar and Satranjipura zone. There are several water pipes which are leaking and oozing out more than 1000 litres water per hour. Many near by residents are accumulating this water to be consumed by stray animals and rest is draining. The nearby residents claims the leakage problem to be 20 years old. They had informed Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) about it but no action was taken.

Nagpur is hottest in the month of April and May. But in 2012 the April season has started with showers of rain, so the temperature has not rose beyond acceptable limits and meteorological department predicts the temperature to be at 40 degrees centigrade or below that. Thanks to the moisture laden winds that brought relief to nagpurians.

Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated on the full moon day (Pournima) in the month of Chaitra. Chaitra month starts with festivals like Gudi Padwa then Ram Navami, Mahavir Jayanti and Hanuman Jayanti. Jain community celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir as Mahavir Jayanti. It is sacred festival of Jain community and they celebrate it by taking out processions. Jain community comes together and celebrate this festival with family and friends. They worship, dine and have fun. This day is marked as government holiday so banks, schools, colleges and all government run institutions remains closed on this day in India.
