VADA Auto Expo was held at Kasturchand Park, Nagpur, Maharashtra from 18th to 21st February 2016. The timing of the Vidarbha Automobile Dealers Association (VADA) Expo was 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Automobile companies which participated in the Expo were - BMW, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Tata Motors Assured (Pre-owned Cars Reassured), Honda, Nexa, Royal Enfield, Bharat Benz, Ford, Nissan, Bajaj, Audi, Hero Electric, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, By visiting the Auto Expo you could view all brands under a single umbrella and it got easy for you to choose an automobile.
50th Kille Mahotsav 2016 was celebrated at Nagpur, Maharashtra. Nagpurians could view different types of forts, placement of soldiers for protection from enemies, the size of the forts etc. It was an artistic work made from clay and dummy human figures. The artists had put lots of hard work in making the clay structure of the Kille artistically so that visitors could have the look and feel of actually visiting the Kille. The fine work on each and every Kille depicted the amount of pains and hard work which had been put in for building each piece.

Nagpur will be developed as smart city with help of France. France will be investing around USD 2 billion to develop 3 smart cities in India, including Nagpur and Puducherry. The deal was signed when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited France on 10th April 2015.
"France will help in the development of three smart cities in India, including Pondicherry and Nagpur," France President Hollande said.

Shaneshwar Dham has a large Shani Dev temple. The statue is made up of wood with a height of around 20 ft. The temple premises contains 21 additional temples of various deities.
Shaneshwar Dham is located around 10 kms from Butibori towards Umred. The temple is 40 Kms from Nagpur Zero Mile.
This is perhaps the only Shani temple in Nagpur surrounding that allows Women to be part of it. Generally Women are not allowed near the Shani statue.
The temple was established by Late Manikrao Dayaramji Vaid around 22 years ago.

Kaundanyapur holds an important places in India history. Kaundanyapur was known as Kundinapuri in Mahabharat period. It was the capital of Vidarbha and was ruled king named Bhima. It is located around 100 kms from Nagpur and 40 kms from Amravati.
As per the mythological tales, Lord Kirshna came to kidnap Rukmini, the beautiful daughter of king Bhima in Kaundanyapur. And later married her at Madhavpur in Gujarat.
Some sources also mention that Lord Rama's grandmother belonged to this place too.
