NAGPUR: A driver belonging to Gadchiroli district police has been arrested by Ganeshpeth police on Wednesday he was found misusing warrants for
state transport buses with forged official seals.

Ganeshpeth police registered the case on Wednesday after receiving complaint from Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation officials. They have seized from the driver’s possession 36 warrants that had forged signature and seals of superintendents of police of Yavatmal, Nagpur rural and Gadchiroli.

National air carrier, Air India, plans to launch its domestic cargo operations from Nagpur next month, a senior National Aviation Company of India Ltd official said.

"We plan to launch our domestic cargo operations from Nagpur next month with four dedicated freighters," the official told here on strict condition of anonymity.

Mauled tiger cub dies in Nagpur despite rare rescue efforts

Nagpur, Nov 18 (IANS) A savagely mauled tiger cub’s 15-day battle for life ended Tuesday in the Maharajbagh zoo here despite unprecedented efforts by veterinary doctors, forest authorities and wildlife enthusiasts to save it.Jui, the seven-month-old female cub, was beaten up by villagers in a forest in north Bramhapuri forest range of Chandrapur district in Maharashtra along with her sibling over a fortnight ago.

Housewives not really missing soaps

NAGPUR: Television is in a kind of time-warp. With an impasse between the directors' guild and the workers union stalling the shooting of new
episodes of almost all daily programmes, entertainment channels are mostly relying on re-runs of their popular soaps reality shows to fill up the time slots.

Surprisingly, housewives in Nagpur do not seem to be suffering from withdrawal symptoms even though their daily dose of melodrama and household intrigue is gone.
