ABOUT THE INSTITUTE:
On the outskirts of the west entrance of the great historic city of Nagpur ,one's attention is drawn by the magnificent building situated atop the hillock giving a panaromic view of the picturesque city.One cannot but have a sense of admiration and appreciation for the selection of a marvelous and lovely site by the architects who were instrumental in planning of yet another academic activity, a centre for learning of Technology.The LAXMINARAYAN INSTITUTE popularly known as L.I.T. ,owes its existence to the munificent donation of Late RAO BAHADUR D.LAXMINARAYAN. The present site and surroundings of the institute with 78 acres of land was spotted on and secured by Late Sir Harisingh Gaur , who was an eminent educationist of his times and the Vice-chancellor of Nagpur University during 1937-38.- Colleges-
