Doctors’ day out in Nagpur

It is said that 40s are the new 20s today. So, it’s only apt that doctors who had gathered at a city hotel chose Life begins at 40, as their guiding motto for the year.

At the installation programme of the Academy of Medical Sciences, we saw doctors keeping the spirit of this motto alive, as they chilled out in style. But this was done after they went through an exhaustive lecture series on various topics.

Dr Rupashri Bhoyar looked attractive in a chocolate brown dress, as did Dr Nandini Babhulkar in a green saree.

While most of the male doctors chose to wear formal suits for the occasion, Dr Anand Pathak, Dr Sudhir Bhave and Dr Ashok Lawange were some who chose to play it casual. But the buzz was reserved for the new President Dr Sushrut Babhulkar, whose metal tie was being appreciated a lot.

However, the main attraction was former Mrs World Aditi Govitrikar Lakdawala, who is a doctor herself. She had flown in from Mumbai for the do and took everyone by surprise with her ethnic look. Aditi still looked pretty in her colourful churidhar kurta. It was also nice to see the medical fraternity throwing caution to the winds and gorging on some hi-cal stuff!
