"We have already applied to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation for permission to start flights to these destinations," Kalia said. At present, Kingfisher operates four regular flights from Pune, two each to Bangalore and one to Delhi and Indore respectively.
"Maharashtra accounts for 35% share in Kingfisher airlines sales and Pune is a strategic location with almost 70% load factor per day. Hence, Pune remains one of our prime locations," added Kalia.
"The launch of a new ticketing office in Pune marks yet another milestone in the constant endeavour of Kingfisher Airlines to provide a superlative flying experience," he said. Apart from regular ticketing, a sales office has also been opened in Pune which would promote other Kingfisher brands such as the Kings Club and other customised services.
