NAGPUR: Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), may launch its much awaited credit card in October, according to its senior divisional manager Bhausaheb Gujar.
Addressuing a press meet on the occasion of LIC's 52nd anniversary, Gujar, said LIC was in the process of finalising the partner and in all probablity it would be introduced next month.
Similarly the insurance giant was in the process of completing formalities for accepting its premium through credit cards, may be next year, Gujar said.
LIC has already roped in Corporation bank and Axis bank for accepting premiums from those holding accounts there.
Talking about Nagpur division, Gujar said it has sold, 5,49,972 policies in the year 2007-08 and first premium income was to the tune of Rs 577.30 crores.
The target for fiscal year is 6,25,000 policies.
