6 days Nagpur Mahotsav to start from 23rd January at Yashwant Stadium

Nagpur Municipal Corporation is organizing Nagpur Mahotsav from 23rd January to 28th January 2013 at Yashwant Stadium. The main attraction of the festival will be Anandan Sivamani, Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari and Sufi singer Kailash Kher. Arrangements are being made to accommodate an audience strength of 25,000 at the stadium. The timing of all programs is 6 PM to 10 PM except on Republic Day when the program will begin from 6:30 PM and conclude at 12:00 AM midnight.

24x7 water project by Nagpur Municipal Corporation leading to dug roads

24x7 water project laid down by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is giving nightmares to residents of Nagpur. NMC handed over the water works to Orange City Water Private Limited (OCWL) so that the water work can be completed on time but still the water work is being carried out at a very slow pace. The project is to replace old pipes with new ones and to lay down pipes in new localities. But the water project is leading to dug roads which remains opens for months, becoming accident prone zone.

44 kgs plastic bags less than 50 microns seized at Nagpur

Usage of plastic bags less than 50 microns has been banned all over India. The government has requested shopkeepers and the general public to use jute bags or cloth bags instead of plastic bags. This initiative has been done to save our planet earth from polluting. The shopkeepers or local vegetable sellers keep plenty of plastic bags which are less than 50 microns as they are cheap and can help carry the sold vegetables.

Outstanding bills causing non functioning traffic signals at Nagpur

Various high traffic roads are facing traffic problems due to non functioning traffic signals. Decofurn Construction, the company entrusted with the work for maintaining all 142 signals at Nagpur has stopped maintenance work and installation of new signals due to outstanding payments. Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) claims that Decofurn is not accepting payments. Whatever be the reason it is the general public who is suffering.

Personality Development training program at Nagpur Municipal Corporation for Auditors on 3rd and 4th December 2012

Rashmi Priya, Founder and Corporate trainer at Attitude School conducted personality development training program at Nagpur Municipal Corporation for Auditors of 6 districts of Vidarbha region on 3rd and 4th December 2012. Topics which were covered in training were Human Relations, Positive thinking, Self Image and Motivation.

On first day of training Human Relations and Positive thinking was covered and second day of training comprised of Self Image and Motivation.

The program was successfully conducted by her.

Goal Setting training program at Pannalal Deolia Hindi School (NMC) on 10th September 2012 by Rashmi Priya

Rashmi Priya, National Trainer, JCI India (Founder & Corporate Trainer Attitude School) was invited to conduct training program at Pannalal Deolia Hindi School on 10th September 2012. The school was allotted after meeting with Mayor Anil Sole ji. The topic of training was Goal Setting.

Rashmi Priya talked about what are Goals and the Importance of goals ? She asked students to identify their strengths and weaknesses, to do self analysis to reach their goals, to motivate themselves everyday to keep the fire burning in their belly.

No Plaster of Paris idols this festive season

Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is taking great initiatives to stop pollution of water bodies this festive season by implementing a ban on Plaster of Paris (POP) idols. It has held a meetings with mandals and idol makers. Mandals are requested not to purchase idols made of plaster of paris. Idol makers are asked to make idols of clay and not mix pop with clay. NMC has also asked the general public to lend their support for their success. Though the ban on pop idols had been voiced earlier but it has been implemented now.

Night patrolling by NMC to stop dumping of garbage on roads

In a major step to keep Nagpur city clean Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has started night patrolling to stop road side vendors and other people from dumping garbage on the roads. The official time for NMC visit is till 5:30 PM in the evening but NMC has constituted a special squad to stop dumping of garbage at places not notified by NMC for dumping of garbage.

Anti Encroachment drive carried by NMC going waste

Anti encroachment drive carried by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) with the help of Police Commissioner, Ankush Dhanvijay has not yielded great results. Anti encroachment squad carried out the drive and encroachers waited for everything to settle down so that they were back to their own place and business on the road.

Residents demand traffic signal at Dindayal Nagar Square

Residents of Dindayal Nagar have applied to NMC (Nagpur Municipal Corporation) for installation of traffic signal on the square. According to them the growing traffic on the square has added to their woes and the pedestrians find difficulty crossing the road. The near by residents find difficulty in walking on the road in the evening and on weekends when traffic is maximum.
