NEET Undergraduate program postponed till 2013

National Eligibility cum entrance test ( NEET ) for Under Graduates has been postponed till 2013. Maharashtra and Medical Council of India agreed over common entrance test to be held in 2012 but the exam was delayed due to CM Prithviraj Chavan intervention.

According to Chavan state board students will find difficulty in clearing the exam due to difference in syllabus. He also apposed the view of exam being held only in Hindi and English, Urdu and Marathi medium students will be left out.

Chavan pointed that MHT – CET for medical and engineering entrance exam which the state conducts has biology or maths as a third subject but NEET did not have maths as an option. He said MHT – CET will be held in 2012 as usual con convenience of all students.
