Nagpur based fast food giant Haldiram’s owner Prabhu Shankar Agarwal has been sentenced to life imprisonment for an attempt to murder case. The owner of the Bhujia Company had conspired to kill a tea owner. The Tea stall incidentally was right in front of the Haldiram store in Nagpur and Prabhu Shankar Agarwal wanted it to be removed from there. When the stall owner did not want to move, Agarwal got furious and wanted to kill the person.
The shooter who was hired missed the shot and the bullet hit the stall owner in the leg and he survived the attempt.
The courts have established that Agarwal was behind the incident and sent Agarwal to life imprisonment. Such cases re impose the faith of the common man in the justice system in India.
