Higher Education:Opportunities & Road Ahead
Vidarbha Economic Development Council, generally called VED, an NGO, was established in 1995, and is a non-political organization, which works as a mission to survey, identify, study, analyze and then pursue various thrust areas, which can transform the economy of this region. Considering the vast opportunities that lie in wait to be tapped in this region, we are also looking at higher education as one of our focus areas.
The Nagpur region has more than 500 colleges imparting higher education. In view of such a backdrop and to promote Vidarbha as a hub for providing quality education, especially in order to attract foreign universities here, VED is organizing a two-day conference, “Higher Education: Opportunities & Road Ahead” in Nagpur on 17th & 18th Feb. 2010, Hotel Centre Point, Ramdaspeth, Nagpur.
The Delegate Profile comprises educationists, academicians, corporates involved in education, heads of institutions, senior faculty members of universities/ colleges/ institutions, entrepreneurs willing to venture into the field of higher education and foreign universities such as from Canada, UK and Australia who have evinced keen interest in this region.
