NAGPUR: Finally, the cynical and apathetic ways of Nagpur University bosses are yielding results. The eight decade-old university has been
awarded ‘B’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The TOI on January 18 had predicted the university getting B-grade due to its inability to address such basic issues as power and water supply for many years.
Not surprisingly, the university stands last among seven other universities which had applied for reaccreditation. The results were declared by the NAAC on Thursday after a panel led by former pro-vice-chancellor of University of Madras Prof H P Thyagrajan tabled its report at a meeting. The results are also available on the NAAC’s website.
