Maha minority students to have special ITI classes
Mumbai, Jan 27 (PTI) Maharashtra Government today decided to start special training classes for minority community students to increase their participation in mainstream education.
"We have decided to start special training classes for minority students at industrial training institutes (ITIs) and also asked to reserve 40 more seats in IAS coaching institutes," Minority Development Minister, Naseem Khan, said.
The special classes would be conducted in 43 tehsils from this academic year and the IAS coaching institutes in Mumbai, Nagpur, Kolhapur and Aurangabad would have reservation for the minority community students, Khan said.
Altogether 3,967 students would benefit from the special classes, and about Rs 10 crore would be released by the Minority Development Department for the same, the minister said.
