Chhindwara (MP) (PTI): One person was killed and 800 others injured during the 'Gotmar Mela' in Pandhurna tehsil of the district, police said on Sunday.
Members of two groups hit each other with stones at the fair.
A person identified as Gajanan Garuskar (55) was killed, while 800 others sustained injuries, police said, adding five seriously injured persons were referred to Nagpur Medical College and Hospital.
