A Play'ful' night in Nagpur

The serene and soft music, flickering of the lights and exotic costumes of the artists gave a lovely ambience and added to the over all effect of the show.

The glint in the eyes of the theatre aficionados, a packed hall, and the thunderous applause that echoed around the auditorium, said it all. Kismet: A musical Arabian night fantasy, a play produced by Vikash Khurana, with a cast of 30 artists, was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience.

The serene and soft music, flickering of the lights and exotic costumes of the artists gave a lovely ambience and added to the over all effect of the show. The exchange of repartees between two of the characters tickled the funny bone of the crowd and evoked peals of laughter. It was a rare treat for the fans of Khurana’s craft, as they enjoyed his act of Wazir in the play.

Shruti Sancheti who enjoyed the evening said, “It was a brilliant play. Their creations are always good.”

The venue saw youngsters and seniors flocking in equal numbers to watch the show. Naushad Bhagwagar, a theatre lover said, "It was a very well composed play. The music and the costumes of the artists added colour. I enjoyed it to the hilt." Khurana dedicated the show to Rahul Karnik, a dear friend who died in a freak mishap recently.
