Quit smoking by National Tobacco Cessation quit line

National Tobacco Cessation quit line was launched last week to help people quit smoking. The helpline is combined effort of a tobacco cessation products manufacturer and the Tobacco Intervention Initiative (TII) centre of the Indian Dental Association (IDA). A team from Mumbai runs the helpline. It addresses queries in Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali and English. The people running the helpline helps addicts in combating tobacco cravings and reach suitable doctor associated with TII.

The helpline runs from 9 AM to 9 PM. A 12 week plan is suggested to the addict to quit smoking. It is a flexible plan which depends on the the time and need of the individual. Tobacco cause Halt i.e Hunger, Anger, Loneliness and Tiredness.
