Amravati (PTI): Bengal Mumbai Football Club, Mumbai, and Young Boys, Aurangabad will clash for the title at the Second All India Mayor's Cup Football Tournament at Science Coreground here on Sunday.
The final will be played on Sunday at 2.30 pm. In the semifinals played, Mumbai outpaced Meeraj Club, Sangli 2-0 while Aurangabad tanked in their energy for the final by playing it cool for 1-0 win against Nagpur Blues, Nagpur.
Dominating its match against Sangli outfit, the Mumbai Boys never allowed their rivals to go aggressive.
Mumbai defence was impeccable, half line was enterprising and forwards were marauding. Though Sangli managed to hold their superior rivals to a goalless score till breather, they lost on stamina in the second and failed to match the fast-paced rivals in any department of the game.
Mumbai had missed the chance in the very fifth minute when left out Yuvaraj Pune missed a straight forward chance in the eighth minute and then in the 16th minute Naushad just missed connecting on the cross of Nim.
Mumbai seemed to have entered the ground with more polished display in the second half and started attacking right from the start.
Using left flank to mount its attacks, Mumbai almost came close to scoring in the fifth minute but the brilliant right footer of Naushad just missed the aim and went outside. Then Nim failed to beat the opponent goal keeper on the pass of Sagarhapa and kicked the ball straight to the goal keeper.
