In a major step to keep Nagpur city clean Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has started night patrolling to stop road side vendors and other people from dumping garbage on the roads. The official time for NMC visit is till 5:30 PM in the evening but NMC has constituted a special squad to stop dumping of garbage at places not notified by NMC for dumping of garbage.

The official time for NMC visit is till 5:30 PM in the evening but NMC has constituted a special squad to stop dumping of garbage at places not notified by NMC for dumping of garbage.
NMC has allocated specific places for garbage dumping which gets cleaned every day but people still dump garbage on the roads which leads to congestion of nullahs and causes fowl smell for the road users. This step of NMC has alerted other vendors to stop dumping garbage or they will be fined between Rs 200 to Rs 2,900.
