A large part of bills have been claimed by mayors Maya Iwnate & Archana Dehankar and other office bearers as compared to NMC ruling party leader and chairman. The bills were claimed for tours to major cities of the country including Trivandrum, Goa, Srinagar, Shimla, Shirdi, Mahabaleshwar, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Jammu, New Delhi etc. The mayors have also traveled on official NMCs tours to Guwahati, Kolkata, Bengaluru and even Shirdi. Some corporators have also visited Mount Abu and Jamnagar etc on ‘official’ business.

RTI has exposed bogus claims to 5 tours to Mumbai, Srinagar, Jammu, Goa and New Delhi. A committee has been formed and the report will be submitted to Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Jaiswal.

It is sad to hear that the top notch officials are spending so much money on tours like this rather than spending money for development of the state. It is very sorry state of affairs i hope everyone realizes the value of money and spends it judiciously.
