Fifth Maha Lok Adalat to be held at Nagpur on 3rd March 2013

Fifth Maha Lok Adalat will be held across the whole state on 3rd March 2013 by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA). In Nagpur city, the event will be held in all types of courts i.e. district court, all taluka courts, family courts, industrial courts, labour courts, cooperative courts, and all tribunals.

Make a Difference dream camp for underprivileged children to start from 30th January 2013 at Nagpur

Nagpur’s youth volunteer club Make a Difference (MAD) is organizing a camp for underprivileged children from 30th January to 1st February 2013. The children will get an opportunity to interact with people from different streams and even media. They will be given vocational training on Jewellery making, candle making and painting.

Meteorological department predicts rains in the coming days

Nagpurians got a big relief from the drop in winter temperature after 14th January i.e Makar Sankranti. The nights got less colder and there was a sigh of relief from chilling cold weather which made nagpurians stay indoors during night. 24x7 water project by Nagpur Municipal Corporation leading to dug roads

24x7 water project laid down by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is giving nightmares to residents of Nagpur. NMC handed over the water works to Orange City Water Private Limited (OCWL) so that the water work can be completed on time but still the water work is being carried out at a very slow pace. The project is to replace old pipes with new ones and to lay down pipes in new localities. But the water project is leading to dug roads which remains opens for months, becoming accident prone zone.

44 kgs plastic bags less than 50 microns seized at Nagpur

Usage of plastic bags less than 50 microns has been banned all over India. The government has requested shopkeepers and the general public to use jute bags or cloth bags instead of plastic bags. This initiative has been done to save our planet earth from polluting. The shopkeepers or local vegetable sellers keep plenty of plastic bags which are less than 50 microns as they are cheap and can help carry the sold vegetables.

Outstanding bills causing non functioning traffic signals at Nagpur

Various high traffic roads are facing traffic problems due to non functioning traffic signals. Decofurn Construction, the company entrusted with the work for maintaining all 142 signals at Nagpur has stopped maintenance work and installation of new signals due to outstanding payments. Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) claims that Decofurn is not accepting payments. Whatever be the reason it is the general public who is suffering.
