The encroached slum land belonged to National Fire Service College. Prior notice for vacating the slum was issued to the slum dwellers but they did not took it seriously till their houses were demolished by the anti encroachment squad. The situation was under control and the slum dwellers carried their belongings from their broken houses. Previously the slum dwellers were issued notice of vacating the land in the year 2005. They were alloted land in Dixit Nagar. Some of them vacated the place and constructed their houses in dixit nagar but after some time rented the premises and came back to Raj Nagar. But this time there can be no come back and even the government has not allocated any land to the slum dwellers. NMC has made provisions for their temporary stay.

The land which belonged to National Fire Service college has been fenced and no more slums can erupt again.
