98th Nagpur University convocation to be held on 26th November 2011

The much awaited Nagpur University convocation for the academic year 2009 – 2010 is going to be held on 26th November 2011. Over 50 thousand students will receive their degrees and over 500 students will receive their doctorate of Philosophy ( PHD ) degrees from chief guest Dr ved Prakash, UGC Chairman.

The venue for the event will be Nagpur University Jyotiba Phule campus on amravati road and not Dr Vasantrao Deshpande hall.

Doctor of Letters ( or Literature ) known as Dlitt will not be awarded to anyone this year. Lata Mangeshkar was the last to receive Dlitt in 2008.

Two convocations have been delayed and students can now have a sigh of relief that their degrees will now be awarded in a grand function.
