Annual Grain Fair to be organized from 25th May to 27th May 2012 at College of agriculture, Nagpur

State Agriculture Department is organizing “Annual Grain Fair” from 25th May to 27th May 2012 at College of agriculture. The fair will help farmers earn profit because the farmers can directly come in contact with the consumers or buyers of their product thus avoiding the need of any middle men in selling their product. This helps farmers earn good profit which would have lessened if they had dealt with the middle men.


State Agriculture Department is organizing “Annual Grain Fair” from 25th May to 27th May 2012 at College of agriculture. The fair will help farmers earn profit because the farmers can directly come in contact with the consumers or buyers of their product thus avoiding the need of any middle men in selling their product. This helps farmers earn good profit which would have lessened if they had dealt with the middle men.

It will have all foodgrains, fruits, vegetables and valued added products made from grains and a separate space for organic farmers. The fair will have stalls selling wheat, rice, jowar, bajra, finger millet, spices and valued added products. Farmers from Nagpur, Chandrapur, Gondia, Bhandara, Gadchiroli and Wardha districts will participate in the 3 day fair. Fair will be inaugurated by agriculture and marketing minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil.
