Bhausahed Badhiye (May 23, 1909 – 13 Oct 2006)

Bhausahed had attended the Vijaydashmi function of RSS at Reshimbagh. He was one of the volunteers who had taken oath of RSS from its founder Dr Hedgwar.

Born on May 23, 1909, in Jalalkheda, Bhausahed took primary education at Kelwad. In 1920, he participated in Mahatma Gandhi’s satyagrah and in the agitation that led to the closure of the school. He took further education in a school run by an indian. He then shifted to Umrer, alon with his brother. He completed his primary education in Umrer, and later got admitted to Parwardhan High School, Nagpur and passed matriculate examination in first division. He then did graduation in arts from Morris college(VN Institute of Arts and Social Sciences) and secured degree in Law from Law College, Nagpur University.

Bhausahed joined municipal school in Umrer as headmaster, but was dismissed due to association with RSS. He moved the court and won the battle agianst this injustice. Later, the school closed down because of local politics. Bhausahed along with some other prominent persons established Academy of Arts and Science and started public school in 1940. Bhausahed was its head fro two years and then started practising law with Adv P G Fadke.

Bhausahed was continuously involved in the RSS activities and became Karyawah of Mahal area. He was in prison from 1947 to 1951 following ban imposed on RSS. He was then appointed Karywah of Nagpur and Vidarbha prant. He was president of city unit of Jansangh from 1962 to 1972. He was again sent to jail during emergency. He was vibhag Sanghchalak from 1980 to 1994. He was closely associated with all the senior functionaries of RSS and Bhartiya Janta Party.
