Anjuman Hami-E-Islam (AHI) is the biggest Muslim Minority Institution of erstwhile Province of C.P. & Berar and presently under the state of Maharashtra in its Vidarbha Division established long back, i.e. in 1888 and completed 128 years. It is the off-shoot of past social reformation movement of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. Khan Sahab Mohd. Amir Khan was its founder President (1888-1910). From April, 2004 onwards Hon’ble Justice (Retd.) A. A. Ginwala is looking after the various educational and welfare activities of the institution in the capacity of the Sole Administrator. AHI is corporate body having its perpetual succession and seal. It is absolutely non-political, non-communal and non-sectarian in its policies, programmes and educational activities. It has its own constitution and is a registered body under the Societies Registration Act. (1927), and Bombay Public Trusts Act. (1970). It has also been sanctioned permanent Minority Status( 2010).

Annasaheb Gundewar (A.G.) College, Nagpur was estabilished in the year 1984 by the Village Uplift Society, Nagpur to spread education for the people residing on the outskirts of the North-West Nagpur. The college is gradually developing into large educational campus. The college has nearly 2000 students on the roll in 2006-2007 academic session. The academic results of the college have been exemplary. In the field of extra curricular activities like games and sports, debates and N.S.S., the performance of the students has been outstanding. The college is honoured with N.S.S. state award by the Govt. of Maharashtra and has organised Maharashtra State Level Commerce Conference in the 1999 - 2000 session. Mr. Vijay Nakhale had been adjuged the best N.S.S. volunteer for the year 2001-2002 by the Govt. of Maharashtra. During the session 2003-2004 NAAC has assessed and accredited the college and awarded grade B. The teaching faculty consists of a galaxy of outstanding educationists, researchers and scholars.
