Arunachal Pradesh PWD engineer, Kardo Riba was arrested by Central Industrial Security Force ( CISF ) personnel at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport on Sunday morning for carrying 43 live cartridges. Riba had come to Chandrapur to drop his daughter at the Government Engineering College. He was on his way back to Assam when he was captured at Nagpur airport for carrying unlicensed cartridges.

Kardo Riba claimed that the cartridges were lying in his bag by mistake. He had no malicious purpose in his mind. According to police officials Riba’s arms license was valid till the year 2008 and was not renewed.
Investigations are on and Nagpur police will find out soon the reason behind carrying 43 live cartridges by PWD engineer Kardo Riba.
