Economically weaker sections can dream of buying a home at Nagpur

In a move to help Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Lower Income Group (LIG) to become owners of home MHADA has come up with an innovative plan. 20% area of any layout will be provided to EWS and LIG as these people cannot afford to but houses sold at high prices.

The builders will sell 20% land or build up area to MHADA and then they will sell it to EWS people. The owner will be compensated in form of higher floor to space index (FSI) or transfer of development rights (TDR).

MHADA will have to buy land plots or tenements within three months or owner can sell them in open market. The owner will have to sell tenements to MHADA at cost of construction i.e no profit no loss.
