Residents in Indora colony, Nagpur had been facing problems due to choking of sewage pipes. The pipes choked very often and created problems for residents. To solve the problem the civic body joined the sewage pipe with the Storm Drainage Pipe (SDP) which aggravated the problem instead of solving the problem.

The storm drainage pipe is located near drinking water sump. Hence it is adding to problems of residents. The water pipe work which was being done by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has been stopped by the residents. They want NMC to solve the problem first then start any pipeline work. Disposal of sewage waste into storm drainage pipes would lead to contamination of ground water and hence spread epidemic. Thus the problem needs urgent attention for good health of Nagpurians.
