Katurchand Park to host “Octave 2011 “

SCZCC, Nagpur ( South Central Zone Cultural Center ) in association with North East Cultural Center, Dimapur is organizing 3 day cultural festival at Kasturchand Park, Nagpur, from 17th to 19th November 2011 at 6 PM. The festival is titled Octave as eight states are participating in the event. They are Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim.

240 artists would be participating in the event. The major attractions of the cultural event are Bihu dance from Assam, Thang-Ta of Manipur, the colourful Wangala of Meghalaya, bamboo dance of Mizoram, Hozagiri from Tripura and Tati of Nagaland. Festival entry and parking are free. SCZCC is inviting school students to benefit from the event and learn about the rich cultural heritage of India.

choreography of festival is done by Chautambi Singh, artist Anup Giri from Kolkata has designed the gates and stage , Sandip Dutta has designed the light arrangements.
