Traffic congestion due to unauthorized vegetable vendors is a common problem. They are removed by anti-encroachment squad and they come back again. Reason ? They have no place to go and they have no options but to run their shop for a living. Dayashankar Tiwari has proposed to set 25 state-of-art vegetable markets in the city. These markets will have a parking space for vehicles, lavatory, electric supply, vendor platforms and benches. This will stop unauthorized vendors from flocking the road side and causing traffic jam.

The matter came to forefront when the inspection was carried by Dayashankar Tiwari. NMC’s Tukaram Lanjewar Vidyalaya at Gaddigodam had been converted into a cattle shed as Tiwari found lots of animals tied inside the premises.
