VED organizes Nagpur Calling – conference on IT/ ITES on 24th February 2012

Vidarbha Economic Development Council (VED) is organizing its 3rd conference Nagpur Calling – conference on IT/ ITES on 24th February 2012 in association with NASSCOM and is supported by MADC and VASE.

Vanabala – The toy train is back on track

Prithviraj Chavan, Maharashtra Chief Minister has gifted Nagpur children this coming year 2012 with vanabala, the toy train. The train was off track since last 8 years.

Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya were the lucky ones to board the train. It was a happy moment for the children and their smiling faces revealed the joy of riding the toy train. Vanabala covers a distance of 1.8 Km in the seminary hills area.

The rate of ticket is Rs 5 for Children and Rs 10 for Adults.

NEET Undergraduate program postponed till 2013

National Eligibility cum entrance test ( NEET ) for Under Graduates has been postponed till 2013. Maharashtra and Medical Council of India agreed over common entrance test to be held in 2012 but the exam was delayed due to CM Prithviraj Chavan intervention.

According to Chavan state board students will find difficulty in clearing the exam due to difference in syllabus. He also apposed the view of exam being held only in Hindi and English, Urdu and Marathi medium students will be left out.

Blocked roads raises eyebrows of NMPL & City Mayor

Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan had promised to sort out the dispute between Nagpur Municipal Corporation and MSRTC over parking of buses near Mor Bhavan in the last winter session but the issue is yet pending. The city bus operator uses main roads for parking buses, this causes lots of problems for moving traffic as t reduces the space for movement of vehicles.

Announcement by CM, Prithviraj Chavan on the eve of Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Day

Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan addressed the gathering on 6th October 2011 on the occasion of 55th Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Day at Deeksha Bhoomi ground. He assured that the state government will complete all pending projects in the memory of BabaSaheb Ambedkar and set up an international research center to honor him. He assured that the state will release Rs 100 Crore for the international project and 25 crores had already been sanctioned this year.
