Medical Council of India to de-recognize colleges with deficient staff

Medical Council of India (MCI) has decided to de-recognize Private and Government colleges with staff less than the laid guidelines. The reports are online on the MCI website where it has listed colleges with less staff. These colleges have to complete the recruitment process and comply by all the rules and regulations of MCI.

Colleges which are staff deficient are Vasantrao Naik Government Medical College, Yavatmal, and GMCs at Nanded, Dhule and Ambejogai. In Vidarbha, JN Medical College & Sawangi Meghe, Wardha are staff deficient.

According to Chief of Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) Dr Pravin Shingare, they have not yet received any written communication but the information received from website was a matter of concern. He assured that the matter of deficient staff will be sorted in 3 months time.
