International level Theme Park and Convention Centre to be set up in Sevagram, Wardha

An International level Theme Park and Convention Centre “Gandhi for Tomorrow” based on Gandhian Philosophy is going to be set in Sevagram, Wardha. N Nawin Sona, District Collector said the project will cost Rs 95 crores and will be similar to centres of Nelson Mandela and 16th president of America, Abraham Lincoln.

The “Gandhi for Tomorrow” project is important as Sevagram Ashram is into its Platinum Jubilee year. Gandhiji stayed here from 1936 to 1948.

Panwala opens School for slum children

Diwakar, Waghmare, A Panwala opens school (Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Dnyanmandir) for slum children in Wardha. The motive behind opening of school is to educate slum children who cannot afford costly education at good schools in the city. Diwakar who runs a pan shop and hardly earns anything beyond Rs 12,000 a month manages expenditure of his home and school which he has opened for slum children of Hinganghat.

Medical Council of India to de-recognize colleges with deficient staff

Medical Council of India (MCI) has decided to de-recognize Private and Government colleges with staff less than the laid guidelines. The reports are online on the MCI website where it has listed colleges with less staff. These colleges have to complete the recruitment process and comply by all the rules and regulations of MCI.

Colleges which are staff deficient are Vasantrao Naik Government Medical College, Yavatmal, and GMCs at Nanded, Dhule and Ambejogai. In Vidarbha, JN Medical College & Sawangi Meghe, Wardha are staff deficient.

Amitabh Bachchan Foundation gives financial assistance to farmers of Wardha

Rotary club of Wardha cleared loans worth Rs 29 Lakhs of wardha farmers. Banks were not ready to give them loan as a result they had to seek loan from private party. The situation would get out of control when these farmers committed suicide when they were unable to repay the loan.

Rotary club of Mumbai organized a program in which debt of 114 farmers were cleared, the fund was received from Amitabh Bachchan Foundation. Rotary club was also teaching the framers organic farming so that they used funds properly in the right direction.

Students of Shri Shankarprasad Agnihotri College of Engineering invent Hybrid Solar Tricycle

A hybrid solar tricycle has been invented by students of Shri Shankarprasad Agnihotri College of Engineering for physically challenged people under the guidance of professor Vikram Pakhale.

It is solar operated tricycle which will run by solar energy but will run on battery in the absence of sunlight. The students made the model on the concept of French scientist Venturi who made hybrid solar vehicle.
