Illegal religious structures to get demolished in Nagpur

Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is likely to demolish Illegal religious structures after getting directives from Supreme court. Illegal structures which disrupts smooth flow of traffic will be demolished. NMC has identified 1279 illegal religious structures of which it has decided to demolish 464 and fate of rest will be decided after receiving public opinion like suggestions and objections. Demolition of few structures might cause public outrage and make the situation tense so the decision to demolish them will be taken after getting public opinion.

Encroachers back to business on City roads at Nagpur

Combined efforts of Police Chief Ankush Dhanvijay and sanjeev Jaiswal to make Nagpur city encroachment free have gone in vain due to lack of regular checks, encroachers are back to business at their own place. Many encroachers have again occupied footpaths and roads and are doing regular business. Hard work of NMC to clear these encroachments will go useless if all encroachers return and run their shops. Anti encroachment drive for commercial establishments

We have already heard of Nagpur Municipal Corporation anti encroachment drive to clean footpaths and roads to provide space for parking and walking. Now the demolition drive is against commercial establishments which have extended illegally in to public places and have extended their shop beyond limits by constructing shed and walls. The anti encroachment drive is supervised by civic chief Sanjeev Jaiswal and Police chief Ankush Dhanvijay. The walls and sheds will be removed and stern action will be taken against encroachers so that they do not encroach the land again.

Kasturchand Park used for parking star buses

Commissioner of police Ankush Dhanvijay and municipal commissioner Sanjeev Jaiswal have alloted Kasturchand Park (KP) ground for parking star buses. Star buses remained parked on road near Rani Jhansi Chowk and caused problems to flow of normal traffic. After repeated requests KP ground was alloted for parking serving as a temporary solution.

Travel bills rising at Nagpur Municipal Corporation with price rise in India

Nagpur Municipal corporation officers have claimed travel bills worth Rs 95 Lakhs in 4 years. The travel bill covers Mayor & other office bearers bill. Rs 20 Lac was allotted to travel expenses in the year 2006 – 2007. The amount increased to Rs 30 Lac/ year in 2007 – 2008 and then to Rs 40 Lac/ year.

Chandrashekar Jadhav, CFO inaugurated Fire brigade on his 58th Birthday

Chief Fire Officer, Chandrashekar Jadhav coincided the opening of Sugat Nagar fire station with his 58th birthday to make this day memorable. The fire station had been ready since 2007 but was inaugurated in 2011. The pachpaoli fire station was closed. All the staffs from there were transferred here.
