In a drive to make the city encroachment free demolitions have already started in the Gokulpeth area where a big team was deployed to clean the encroachments. Those protesting were detained by the police. Encroachments were also cleaned in the cotton market area for smooth movement of traffic. These illegal shops leads to traffic jam and accidents.
