Anti Encroachment drive by Nagpur Municipal Corporation at Gandhibagh market

The anti encroachment drive at Gandhibagh market started on 5th May 2012. Illegal shops and unauthorized constructions were demolished.

The demolition drive will increase size of footpaths which had been encroached by shop keepers and other dwellers. This will also help reduce traffic jam and ensure smooth flow of traffic.

Meanwhile slum dwellers staged their protest at RBI square under the banner of Jan Samasya Nivaran Samiti.

Clear encroachments and get parking space

In a drive to provide parking space to Nagpurians Civic chief Sanjeev Jaiswal and Police Commissioner Ankush Dhanvijay have joined hands to take action against encroachers and provide parking space to people. Most of the time parking spaces are not available due to encroachments by daily vendors. These vendors block footpaths and parking space.

Anti encroachment squad to get active on 30th March 2012

Demolition drive will be carried out by Nagpur Municipal Corporation on 30th March 2012. The encroachments on foot paths and illegal extensions on roads will be removed, illegal shops will also be demolished. It is a D-day for encroachers and a good news for pedestrians as the footpaths will be cleared and more space will be available for walking . This will also control Jaywalking and hence less accidents. After cases of accidents caused by Jaywalking finally NMC has woke up to clear foot paths for pedestrians.
