The tar used in road work done by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is choking tree trunks which leads to less water percolation in the roots and hence weak roots, this leads to falling of trees even in small thunder.
Termites eats tree trunk and hence weakens the tree. The greenery will not be maintained if large trees will fall off. NMC needs to make sure that tar work does not covers tree trunk so that the roots get enough water for their survival and strength.
