Pravin Pardeshi, principal secretary of forest department has initiated discussions with PCCF Wildlife (Maharashtra) to keep wildlife sanctuaries open in monsoon season this year. Only Tadoba Andheri Tiger Reserve (TATR) remained open in monsoon while other parks were closed.

Opening of national parks in the monsoon season will help protect wild animals as tourist can also inform guard if they find something unusual happening around them. No tourist vehicles will be allowed inside the park but only forest vehicles will be used for movement inside the park.
