Police Chief, Ankush Dhanvijay has appealed general public to help cops. Daily thefts in the outskirts of the city is troubling the police department. They want males with a good build up to patrol the area along with the police for the safety of their locality so that the thefts stop and people live at peace. Some residents remained awake at night to protect their locality from burglary and safeguard the women community due to common incidents of thefts.

It is a common incidence for students to attempt suicide as soon as the results get declared. It is very disheartening to know that today's youth do not know how to cope up with the stress created by poor performance or less than expected results. City Police Chief, Ankush Dhanvjay has deployed police personnel near Gandhisagar, Telangkhedi, and Ambazari lakes to prevent suicides. They will catch someone who is trying to take his/her own life. The situation is really alarming as parents spend their hard earned money on their children and hence their expectations rises.

State Agriculture Department is organizing “Annual Grain Fair” from 25th May to 27th May 2012 at College of agriculture. The fair will help farmers earn profit because the farmers can directly come in contact with the consumers or buyers of their product thus avoiding the need of any middle men in selling their product. This helps farmers earn good profit which would have lessened if they had dealt with the middle men.

Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is likely to demolish Illegal religious structures after getting directives from Supreme court. Illegal structures which disrupts smooth flow of traffic will be demolished. NMC has identified 1279 illegal religious structures of which it has decided to demolish 464 and fate of rest will be decided after receiving public opinion like suggestions and objections. Demolition of few structures might cause public outrage and make the situation tense so the decision to demolish them will be taken after getting public opinion.

Nagpur Municipal Corporation fined shopkeepers for using plastic bags less than 50 microns
NMC (Nagpur Municipal Corporation) has fined shopkeepers in Dharampeth area for using plastic bags less than 50 microns in size. Though the government has passed the law but still there are plenty of shopkeepers who use plastic bags which has thickness less than 50 microns. Plastic bags with less thickness clogs drains and nullahs hence leading to overflow of water during the rainy season. NMC is carrying out this drive now to help smooth flow of water in drains and rivers during monsoon.

Food and Drug Association seized 1,500 Kg of Mangoes from Nagpur
FDA (Food and Drug Association) has seized 1,500 Kg of mangoes worth Rs 90,000 from kalamna Market, Nagpur. Previously Mangoes worth Rs 1 Lac were seized and destroyed by FDA officials as Calcium carbide was used to ripen the fruit. The chemical if consumed in large quantity can cause health hazards. The news was highlighted by Nagpurpulse.com team. This is second incidence in which FDA officials have caught traders red handed with mangoes ripened artificially using Calcium Carbide.

In a move to keep the city clean and green Nagpur Municipal Corporation has fined 70 people for spitting and littering at public places. Many people have the bad habit of spitting here and there after eating Paan or Gutka. Sometimes these spits fall on other people and cause inconvenience to others. It is a very unhealthy habit to throw anything on the road. People have the habit of throwing potato chips packet, packaged drinking water bottles and biscuits packet on the road after consumption.

It really sounds like a nightmare when ever i hear or read about power cuts. I got hold of today's newspaper early in the morning and the first thing i could read was power cuts from the month of August. Power cuts causes lots of problems especially to offices. You need to install the whole system of battery and UPS to get uninterrupted power or the whole office work gets halted.
