Indian Medical Association (IMA) is seeking help from NMC (Nagpur Municipal Corporation) and Fire department to ensure every hospital is aware of the safety norms.
After fire breakout at Care Hospital and Kolkata based hospital it was made compulsory for hospitals to gain NOC certificate from fire department or their affiliation would be canceled. Indian Medical Association (IMA) is seeking help from NMC (Nagpur Municipal Corporation) and Fire department to ensure every hospital is aware of the safety norms.
IMA would publish all the information in their magazine so that all hospitals are aware of the NOC norms. IMA has raised the concern of the norms being too strict and it cannot be followed in old buildings and congested places. Fire department said that the basic norms should be followed.
