It really sounds like a nightmare when ever i hear or read about power cuts. I got hold of today’s newspaper early in the morning and the first thing i could read was power cuts from the month of August. Power cuts causes lots of problems especially to offices. You need to install the whole system of battery and UPS to get uninterrupted power or the whole office work gets halted. The power tariffs have been increased and in fact consumers today are paying much more than what they used to pay 1 or 2 years back for the same quantity of electricity used then also these power distributing companies are running under losses. There is problem with electric poles, old lines, power theft etc but that does not means the city needs to undergo load shedding. Correct the problem. The consumers are paying and the company is charging. No one ever complained about the hike in power tariff but resuming load shedding will be like killing small business houses and asking them to spend a good sum of money on installing a power back up system or suffer.

First it was MSEDCL and now it is SPANCO who is gaining the status of villain. The decision for load shedding will never be welcomed from any corner of the city and nagpurians are sure to revolt against it. It will be great if funds are utilized in proper manner and the problem is sorted out where the end user is made happy rather than saddened by power cuts.

I would request every person who goes through this write up to mail SPANCO not to resume power cuts from the month of August. We all people supported the cause of Aamir Khan in Satyamev Jayate now it is time to support the cause for our own city where we will be requesting top officials not to resume load shedding. Let us make it a revolution.
