National Environment Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur is organizing interactive workshop on Economic Development and Atmospheric Pollution.

The workshop attempts to focus on
– What are the current and projected trends in Indian mega-cities with respect to greenhouse gas emissions, ground-level ozone pollution, energy use, sulfur dioxide aerosols, and population in the next 20, 50 and 100 years?
– Should air pollution and climate change be treated as separate issues?
– How much of a risk does air pollution currently pose to human health in India?

Stampede in Hardwar spares Nagpurians

1200 devotees left the city to attend 100th year celebration of religious Guru. 16 people were killed but everyone from nagpur was safe. The accident happened when thousands of devotees gathered around the fire to make offerings. The stampede took place due to over crowded population gathered to make offerings to the holy fire.

Nitin Gadkari visited the place to meet nagpurians. Everyone had a miraculous escape and it is great that no one was killed in the stampede.
