Women is trying to fit all roles assigned to her of mother, daughter, wife and a good friend. A working women is trying to balance all quarters of her life and is doing her best for the family. Few parents till today take a baby girl as a liability and assemble money for her marriage rather than giving her good and proper education. They don’t realize how important it is to educate a girl child who will in future stand for her children. Its very well said “ If you educate a man you are educating only one person but if you educate a women you are educating a nation “.
Till today we hear of female infanticide and abortion of girl child. Its written in Bold letters in Good hospitals that sex determination is banned but few clinics are still carrying on this crime. They don’t understand that if all girls die there will be biological dis balance in the society and one day will come when they will have no brides for their bridegrooms. We read in daily news paper that a women is killed for sacrifice or raped, killed for dowry, mole stated by others and sometimes her husband too. A women has to sacrifice for her family but very few people understand her.
New dowry laws are being enacted. There are so many laws to protect a women but sometimes it goes waste. A women had very few rights as a daughter and wife till the law was passed that women too has got equal share in the property of parent and husband. She has to live on whims and fantasies of husband and bear as many children as much he wants.
Till today women are fighting for their rights. She is not given equal status and is still looked upon as a weak fragile person. She still has to prove her capability and strength.
I just want to put one question that do we ( Today’s women ) have to prove ourselves. If the whole nation rises and understand her role in the society and look upon her with pride and honor rather than considering her as a sex figure it will be great.
