PDKV has decided to set up a plant for treatment of sewage water passing through Nullah of MaharajBagh zoo and help the zoo authorities in solving their water problem. The water treatment unit will be installed with the help of NEERI and will start working from 26th January 2012.
Due to collapse of the old system for procuring water the zoo authorities were helpless but with the installation of recycle plant they will be able to meet their daily water demands at zoo premises.

NMC has been struggling to fulfill the water demands of Nagpur city due to increase in population. So methods like these will definitely ease NMC and help in overcoming the ever-growing demand of Water.
Though this water will not be used for drinking purpose, it will be used for other purpose at the Zoo, the farm and other areas that require good amount of water.
