Work on Ram Jhula (Nagpur) to resume this New Year 2012

Work on Ram Jhula will be resumed by Afcons Infrastructure Limited in the month of January. The work which was lying pending since 22 months has got the green signal and the project is estimated to be completed in a time period of 18 months. Work was stopped on Ram Jhula due to escalation of cost. Now the matter has been sorted out and Afcons Infrastructure will receive the fair price for its work.

MSRDC has struck a deal with Afcons Infrastructure Ltd and soon Ram Jhula will be a reality and not a dream.

Eastern entrance of Nagpur railway station is lying in a dilapidated stage and is considered dangerous by passengers to enter through that gate at night. As railway station speaks about the city and its culture, a lot of attention is being given to develop eastern entrance .

A facade will be constructed which will be 120 meters long and will have an orange on it. It will be a big move as it will make the eastern entrance passenger friendly along with the western gate.

MSRTC is launching the bus service from Nagpur to Pune and vice verse. The service will start from 8th December 2011. It will charge Rs 1210 per seat and the prices will not increase during heavy rush seasons like Diwali or any other festival.

The bus will leave Nagpur at 7 PM and reach Pune at 8 AM and again leave Pune in the evening. It is very helpful for travelers doing constant up and down for business or studies.

Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan had promised to sort out the dispute between Nagpur Municipal Corporation and MSRTC over parking of buses near Mor Bhavan in the last winter session but the issue is yet pending. The city bus operator uses main roads for parking buses, this causes lots of problems for moving traffic as t reduces the space for movement of vehicles.
