A lot of nagpurians die due to jaywalking but it took a lot of time for the case to be addressed as now things have become unmanageable. Jaywalking takes place due to encroachments of footpaths or bad condition of foot paths. Walkers avoid footpaths and walk on roads so that they can walk freely on the roads. Nagpurians say the roads do not have enough zebra crossings to help them avoid jaywalking.
