Firework traders used to set up shops at Yeshwant stadium, Nagpur for selling fire crackers in the festive season of Diwali. But Nagpur Municipal Corporation prohibited them from setting shops at Yeshwant stadium as it was a threat to the nearby localities in case of any mishap.

The firework traders moved to court and challenged the decision of NMC. The court said Morris College ground will be allotted to vendors for selling their product during the festive season. Even Dhantoli Nagarik Mandal had objected to the location of shops at Yeshwant stadium. The High court had directed not to use the ground for any other activity except sports.
Firework traders have relief from the prohibition and now they can do business from Morris college ground which is near to Yeshwant stadium.
