Orange City Water Limited replacing old pipelines with new ones

OCWL (Orange City Water Limited) has started the work of replacing old pipelines with new ones. This will solve contaminated water problems of nagpurians residing in places where the pipelines are very old. These old pipelines are rusted and are leaking which leads to water contamination and hence water borne disease like diarrhea and fever.


OCWL (Orange City Water Limited) has started the work of replacing old pipelines with new ones. This will solve contaminated water problems of nagpurians residing in places where the pipelines are very old. These old pipelines are rusted and are leaking which leads to water contamination and hence water borne disease like diarrhea and fever.

According to OCWL there are total 96 areas which receives contaminated water. They will replace all the old and leaking pipelines with the new ones by the end of July. After the new pipelines are laid OCWL will provide immediate water supply to those with legal connection while others will have to apply for connection in NMC’s Zone office.

Orange City Water Limited is a joint venture company of Nagpur Environment Services Limited (NESL) and Veolia India Limited. They have to replace leaky pipelines and upgrade water distribution work within 5 years.
