Nagzira Wild Life Sanctuary situated in Gondia has installed solar powered water holes to avoid hassles of filling regular water for drinking purpose of animals. The project was implemented by Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA), Pune.
Maharashtra Energy Development Agency ( MEDA ) is planning to set up a Solar Radiation Center at Nagpur. Anand Limaye, MEDA’s Director General made the announcement on Friday in the seminar. Nagpur is also hosting solar energy application and solar passive architecture exhibition at Katurchand Park till 27th November 2011.
These solar radiation measurement centers will help in calculating the intensity of solar energy which will help in finding the likelihood of setting up a solar energy plant at Nagpur. The setting of plant will help in tapping non conventional sources of energy.
MEDA ( Maharashtra Energy Development Agency ) in association with Union Ministry of New and Renewable energy is going to hold a seminar on 25th November 2011 on Solar Energy Applications and Solar Energy Architecture.
The day long seminar will discuss about Renewable Energy, Energy Conservation, energy efficiency and application of renewable energy.
A three day exhibition has also been organized where various products on solar energy and wind energy will be displayed.
